Hello, I'm Blanca

“Healing is about returning to yourself. Your story deserves to be heard with care and presence.”

I am a Nicaraguan-born Canadian woman, counsellor, cultural anthropologist, and lifelong community advocate.  A mother, a spiritual seeker, and a woman who has lived through grief, migration, burnout, and renewal.

Heartmind Balance was born out of my own transitions, moments where I had to stop, listen inward, and begin again. I created this space to offer others the same kind of grounding, healing, and reconnection I have sought and found. Whether you’re navigating emotional stress, relationship endings, cultural shock, or a quiet longing for more. I am here to walk with you, to listen, to guide. 

My practice integrates tools from narrative therapy, somatic awareness, intergenerational healing, mindfulness, and body-based awareness. I draw inspiration from the teachings of Judith Herman, Brené Brown, and Marianne Williamson, as well as Resmaa Menakem, Thomas Hübl, and Gabor Maté, and just as deeply, from my mother, my ancestors, and the women I meet in circle.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a space where your truth is welcome, your pain is held with care, and your voice is invited to rise.

Every process begins with Yes! I can and follows with a conversation. Making time for you as a priority!

I offer a free 15-minute call so we can explore if we are a good fit. If we decide to work together, sessions are guided by your pace and your story, not a formula.

Whether we meet for counselling, coaching, or retreat, I hold space for you with presence, compassion, and a goal. To go from the pain you are feeling to where you would like to get, a more balanced and united you. We go step by step, honouring your culture, your rhythm, and your wisdom.

I meet you there, without judgment.

What I do is hold space for women who are in motion: grieving, awakening, or quietly seeking something more.

I bring together therapeutic skills, coaching tools, and embodied practices rooted in over two decades of working with women, community work and lived experience.

My approach is gentle but honest, intuitive yet structured and goal oriented. Where you are held at the center of the conversations to recover, heal and grow.

Services

Counselling Therapy

For women seeking support through anxiety and depression, pain from loss and grief, life transitions, or identity crisis. Grounded in trauma-informed care, these sessions generate a space to heal from emotional pain and find a more balanced self. Guided by caring and practical tools, to grow self-compassionate and move forward. 

Life Crisis Coaching

An action driven space for women ready to develop the skills to move forward and away from life crisis and painful transitions (immigration, divorce, new career, retirement). Make time to become the priority and take concrete steps to grow and live crisis behind. Become a new you more fully and integrated, while feeling centered and supported.

Healing Retreats

Once a year, I host in-person retreats in Peru, Nicaragua or Portugal. These are not just trips – they are self-healing, embodied journeys. Rooted in local culture and mindful practice, each retreat invites women into rest, reflection, and sacred community. An opportunity for self-discovery and empowerment.
